The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Monday to its highest amount since Nov. 22, increasing a half-cent to $5.038, rising for the 10th time in 11 days.
The average price has risen 10.8 cents over the past 11 days, including six-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose three consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent last Monday and resumed increasing Tuesday.
The average price is 8.1 cents more than week ago, 24.3 cents higher than one month ago and 18.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.456 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price increased two-tenths of a cent to $4.988, its highest amount since Nov. 16. It has risen 10 of the past 11 days, increasing 10.9 cents, including three-tenths of a cent Sunday. The Orange County average price rose three consecutive days, dropped two-tenths of a cent last Monday and resumed increasing Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 8 cents more than a week ago, 23.3 cents higher than it was one month ago and 18.4 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.471 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.534, one day after an 11-day streak of increases totaling 14 cents ended with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent. It is 6.7 cents more than it was one week ago, 27.2 cents higher than it was one month ago and 9.4 cents greater than it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.482 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
