The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Thursday to its lowest amount since Jan. 26, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.543.

The average price has dropped four consecutive days, decreasing 1.6 cents, including two-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.9 cents less than one week ago, 6 cents lower than one month ago and $1.702 below what it was one year ago.

The average price has dropped $1.951 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $4.478, one day after remaining unchanged. It is 1.6 cents less than one week ago, 5.2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.686 below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped $1.981 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped for the sixth consecutive day after a four-day streak of increases totaling 1.5 cents, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.19. It has dropped 3.3 cents over the past six days, including eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday.

The national average price is 3 cents less than one week ago, 13.5 cents lower than one month ago and 60.8 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.826 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
