The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.493, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent.
The average price is 1.7 cents more than one week ago and 9.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 6.3 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.001 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $4.432, one day after decreasing four-tenths of a cent. It is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 9.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 1.8 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $2.027 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.135. It has increased 7 cents over the past 10 days, including three-tenths of a cent Wednesday. The national average price rose five consecutive days, was unchanged Sunday and resumed rising Monday.
The national average price is 3.2 cents more than one week ago, 9.3 cents higher than one month ago, and 5.1 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.881 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
