A man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the Sepulveda Pass section of the San Diego (405) Freeway near Brentwood Saturday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 3:18 a.m. Saturday to the northbound 405 Freeway at Skirball Center Drive, where they found four vehicles — a black four-door sedan, a blue Toyota RAV4, a gold Toyota Corolla and a gray Toyota — had collided, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
Witnesses from the scene said the fatal victim was ejected from one of the vehicles.
He was later identified as 22-year-old Fnu Kartik, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. His city of residence was not available.
A SigAlert, issued at 3:50 a.m. closing the nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the northbound freeway, was canceled at 6:24 a.m.
