Patriotism will shine this Independence Day week on Pacific Park’s Ferris wheel.
What is dubbed the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel will have 174,000 LED lights forming a 90-foot, animated American flag, according to operators.
The lights will be mounted on the wheel’s 40 spokes and two hubs, operators said. It is possible because the Ferris wheel’s lighting system has 16.7 million color-value combinations.
The wheel will be lit up in red, white and blue Tuesday through Sunday from sunset to 12:30 a.m.
