Friends, family and fellow police officers will celebrate the life of El Monte Police Officer Armando Santa Anna Thursday in San Dimas.
Santa Anna passed away on March 15 at the age of 52 due to medical complications following a planned surgery related to an on-duty injury, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
El Monte Police Department Chief Jake Fisher and Father Rich Danyluk will be joined by dignitaries, city officials and representatives from local and state law enforcement agencies to honor Santa Anna’s life, service, and ultimate sacrifice as a fallen member of the law enforcement community.
