County fire officials Thursday rescued a person who became somehow trapped on or near a cliff in the Palos Verdes area Thursday, and took the person to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
Fire crews responded at about noon Thursday to the 600 block of Paseo Del Mar on reports of a trapped individual who required rescue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. It was unclear exactly where or how the person was trapped.
Authorities initially put out a public alert saying a cliff rescue was in progress.
Crews reached the person, who was flown by helicopter to a hospital in unknown condition around 1:15 p.m., according to an LACoFD spokeswoman.

This kind of thing happens a lot yet there are those who ignore good sense.
