A magnitude-4.3 earthquake struck Monday in Kern County, north of Edwards Air Force Base, leading to widespread shaking felt in areas such as Palmdale and Santa Clarita.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries from the quake, which struck at 9:40 a.m. about 10 miles west-southwest of Randsburg, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was initially measured with a magnitude of 4.4, then it was downgraded to 4.1, then later revised to 4.3.
