An Ebony Alert was deactivated Wednesday after an 18-year-old woman who was last seen in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles was located, authorities announced.
Ashley Hartley had last been seen at approximately 5:45 p.m. last Thursday near Virginia Road and Washington Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Monday on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Hartley has since been located, but details about when or where she was found were not provided.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers, and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or abducted.
