A man was wounded in the back in an early Monday morning shooting in Santa Ana, police said.
Police were still piecing together details of the shooting, said Santa Ana Police Commander Enrique Esparza.
Police received a call from the victim around 12:10 a.m., Esparza said. The victim said he had been shot. Although he was not sure where he was, police determined he was in the 5300 block of West Kilson Avenue and police then found him in a car a in the 400 block of South Maxine Street. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, the commander said.
