An armed standoff in Anaheim ended Tuesday night with a domestic violence suspect being taken into custody.

The 3 1/2 hour standoff began as a domestic assault call in the 1300 block of West Arlington Avenue around 6:40 p.m., Anaheim Police Department Lt. Eric Trapp said.

The suspect, a man in his mid-20s, had also fired a weapon, Trapp said.

A woman in the residence who fled the scene was not injured, Trapp said.

The standoff ended peacefully around 10:20 p.m., Trapp said.

The suspect was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence and may be booked for other offenses, Trapp said.
