A man suspected of robbing a Lake Forest credit union Monday was taken into custody following a pursuit.

The suspect — identified as Chandler Graham, 52, of Los Angeles — is accused of robbing the Eagle Community Credit Union about 10:45 a.m. at 23021 Lake Center Drive.

A witness saw the getaway car the suspect got into and gave a description to deputies, who caught up with the man a short time later, according to Orange County sheriff‘s Lt. Jeff Hallock.

Graham led deputies on a chase on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway, exiting at Red Hill Avenue in Tustin, where he continued to evade authorities on side streets until he finally stopped and surrendered, Hallock said.

He had a gun on him during the robbery, but it was not immediately clear if he used it to threaten a teller, Hallock said.

Graham was arrested on suspicion of robbery and booked into the Orange County Jail where he was being held in lieu of $200,000 bail, Hallock said.

Graham is due in court on Wednesday.
