A mother and her 18-year-old son were behind bars Friday on suspicion of taking part in the murder of a 31-year-old woman gunned down this week after the three got into a fight in the front yard of a trouble-plagued Garden Grove rental home.

About 9 p.m. Thursday, police arrested Sandy Cisneros Liscano, 44, and her son, Adrian Gabriel Liscano, who both live in Garden Grove, according to Garden Grove police Lt. Bob Bogue.
A third suspect, a 19-year-old man, is at-large and thought to be the one who pulled the trigger and killed Kellie Louise Nichol of Trabuco Canyon about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 13500 block of Purdy Street, Bogue said.
The Liscanos were in a physical altercation with Nichol in the front yard of the home on Purdy prior to the shooting, Bogue said.
The gunman approached them, shot the victim several times in the chest area and fled, Bogue said.
Nichol had been staying at the home for a day or two.
Authorities did not disclose a motive for the killing. But Bogue said police had been called to the home numerous times in the past year. In that period, neighbors told reporters that various renters have come and gone.
