Four new ghoulish scenes will debut, along with nine golden oldies, when Knott’s Berry Farm cranks up its annual Halloween makeover on Sept. 22, park officials said.
In addition the the jolly-sounding “Red Farm,” other new scenes on tap this fall are “Black Ops: Infected,” “Shadow Lands” and “The Hollow.”
These attractions include — respectively — hordes of zombies with laser guns, demon samurais whose souls are cursed to rot within the depths of purgatory, and the Headless Horseman leading some undead farmers that have escaped their shallow graves, park officials said.
Elvira, the legendary Mistress of the Dark, will be back this year, leading “Danse Macabre,” a masquerade ball with music, dance and humor perfomances.
Needless to say, the Knott’s Scary Farm is not exactly aimed at small children or adults with faint hearts.
Single night tickets start at $40 when purchased online, and are more expensive on certain nights, such as weekends. Admission to the roller coasters is separate.
