A suspected drunken driver was jailed Tuesday after he crashed his vehicle into a fence next to a home in Santa Ana.
Just after 11 p.m. Monday, officers on patrol in the 1000 block of West First Street noticed the suspect’s vehicle jump the curb, then crash, according to Sgt. Roland Andrade of the Santa Ana Police Department.
The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, Andrade said.
The vehicle slid across a dirt lot and crashed through a fence surrounding a home, but did not hit the house, a news photographer reported from the scene.
No injuries were reported, Andrade said.
