Orange County firefighters put out a fire on the second floor of a Cypress house Sunday evening.
The fire was reported at 7:16 p.m. in the 8000 block of Acacia Drive, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Thanh Nguyen.
“One resident was able to get out safely,” Nguyen said. “He was assessed by firefighter paramedics and had no injuries.”
The fire was deemed accidental, investigators said. It started in or around a ventilation fan.
Damage to the structure was estimated at $250,000 and contents at $100,000, Nguyen said.
