The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.841.

The average price is 2.3 cents less than one week ago, 10.3 cents less than one month ago, and $1.134 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.653 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5.

The Orange County average price decreased two-tenths of a cent to $4.794. It is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, 13.5 cents less than one month ago, and $1.15 less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.665 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5.

The national average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.534. The national average price is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 12.8 cents lower than one month ago, and 91.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.482 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14.
