The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County inched up two-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.468, one day after dropping to its lowest amount since Jan. 15.
The average price is 2.3 cents less than one week ago, 13.1 cents less than one month ago and 15.9 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.025 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The run of dropping prices in Orange County was extended to five in six days, but barely, with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent to $4.415, its lowest amount since Jan. 14. It has dropped 1.7 cents over the past six days, including six-tenths of a cent Saturday.
The Orange County average price is 1.5 cents less than one week ago, 11.2 cents lower than one month ago and 16 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.043 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped a half-cent to $3.145, the third consecutive decrease after three consecutive increases totaling 2.2 cents. It has dropped 1.7 cents over the past three days, including 1 cent Saturday.
The national average price is a half-cent more than one week ago but 6.2 cents less than one month ago and 36.6 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.871 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
