The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Wednesday for the second consecutive day following a four-day streak of decreases totaling 1.5 cents, remaining at $6.229.

The average price is 1.2 cents less than one week ago but 24 cents more than one month ago and $1.411 higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has risen $1.535 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 26.5 cents of the record $6.494 set Oct. 5, 2022.

The streak of decreases followed a 15-day streak of increases totaling 32.4 cents.

The Orange County average price was also unchanged, remaining at $6.192, one day after a five-day streak of decreases totaling 3 cents ended with a half-cent increase. It is 2.5 cents less than one week ago but 29.5 cents more than one month ago and $1.429 higher than one year ago

The Orange County average price has risen $1.556 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 26.7 cents of the record $6.459 set Oct. 5, 2022.

The five-day streak of decreases to the national average price totaling 5.4 cents ended with an increase of seven-tenths of a cent to $4.511. It is 2.5 cents less than one week ago but 38.6 cents more than one month ago and $1.354 higher than one year ago.

The national average price has risen $1.529 since the attack on Iran, moving within 50.5 cents of the record $5.016 set June 14, 2022.
