The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County inched up three-tenths of a cent Sunday to $5.413, its third increase in the last four days after decreasing 43 of the previous 44 days.

The average price is 1.8 cents more than one week ago, 39.3 cents less than one month ago and 89.3 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has increased 71.9 cents since the start of the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.

The Orange County average price ticked up one-tenth of a cent to $5.309, its third increase in four days after decreasing 49 of the previous 52 days. The Orange County average price is 4.3 cents more than one week ago, 36.5 cents less than one month ago and 84.4 cents more than one year ago. It has increased 67.3 cents since the attack on Iran.

The national average price fell six-tenths of a cent to $3.876. It is 7.2 cents more than one week ago, 23.2 cents less than one month ago and 71.8 cents more than one year ago. It has increased 89.4 cents since the attack on Iran.
