A 41-year-old man was charged Friday with sexually assaulting a girl in Westminster and using her for child pornography.
Nathan Robert Stubbs was charged with eight sex charges as well as a count of using a minor in the sale or distribution of obscene matter or production of pornography, all felonies.
A tip from federal authorities on the child pornography led Westminster police to Stubbs, said Westminster police Commander Andy Stowers.
The alleged sexual abuse of the girl started when she was about 9 years old, Stowers said.
Stubbs did not enter a plea at his arraignment Friday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. He was scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 11 in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
