At least one person was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in the northeastern tip of Riverside County near the Arizona border.
The crash was reported at 1:10 p.m. on Highway 95 south of Agnes Wilson Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said a vehicle slid down a 90-degree embankment and tipped over, ending up 300 feet off the roadway.
According to the CHP, a person was killed in the wreck and personnel from the Riverside County coroner’s office were dispatched to the location.
Additionally, two animals, including at least one dog, appeared to be trapped in the vehicle and animal control was called to the scene, the CHP said.
No additional details about the crash were immediately available.
