Authorities Saturday were investigating a crash involving two big rigs east of Desert Center that left one person with serious injuries.
The crash occurred at around 10:45 p.m. Friday on Interstate 10 near Ford Dry Lake, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
One person was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries, fire officials said.
A second person involved in the crash was uninjured.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
