Firefighters extinguished a motor home fully engulfed in flames on Interstate 10 Wednesday.

The non-injury fire was reported at 8:26 a.m. on the eastbound highway near Cottonwood Springs Road in Thermal, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived on the scene to find what was defined as a “Class A” motor home fully enveloped in flames before they were able to contain it.

Crews are expected to remain on the scene for an additional hour.

Photos posted by Cal Fire showed the back and roof of the motor home destroyed.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
