A freeze warning is in effect in Riverside County valleys and the Inland Empire until 8 a.m. Friday.
Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27 degrees are expected. Frost and freeze conditions can kill crops and sensitive vegetation, and damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
The National Weather Service recommends protecting tender plants, wrap and drain outdoor water pipes, and in-ground sprinkler systems should be drained.
It’ll be mostly sunny, warm and breezy, with highs from 62 to 67, in the valleys and Inland Empire Friday.
In the mountains, it’ll be cold and breezy, with highs ranging from 49 to 55.
In the Coachella Valley, it’ll be warm and breezy with a frost advisory in effect until 8 Friday morning, and highs from 67 to 72.
Friday evening, it’ll be clear, windy and cold throughout Riverside County.
