The driver of a compact sedan was injured Monday in a crash in Wildomar during which the car flipped from one side of Interstate 15 to another.
The rollover accident occurred about 4:25 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15 at Wildomar Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The compact sedan was traveling at an unknown speed on southbound Interstate 15 when the driver apparently lost control, veered across all lanes, struck the center divider and overturned into the fast lane on the northbound side of the freeway, the CHP reported.
No other vehicles were involved.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes and found the victim outside the car, but it was unclear whether he had been ejected, or climbed out of the overturned sedan.
He was taken to nearby Inland Valley Medical Center with unspecified moderate injuries, according to officials at the scene.
The fast lane was shut down for a half-hour while the vehicle was removed, according to the CHP.
All lanes were open as of 5 p.m.
The crash was under investigation.
