A run of six decreases in seven days to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County totaling 4 cents ended Sunday when it rose one-tenth of a cent to $4.818.

The average price is 3.6 cents less than one week ago and $1.489 lower than one year ago but 6.3 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.555 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5.

The national average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.576, its sixth consecutive decrease. It has dropped 1.8 cents over the past six days, including six-tenths of a cent Saturday.

The national average price is 1.4 cents less than one week ago and $1.413 lower than one year ago but 4 cents more than one month ago. It has dropped $1.44 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14. 2022.
