The Coachella Valley Firebirds Tuesday announced the signing of right winger Jackson Berezowski, who had 18 goals and 36 assists in 59 games with the ECHL’s Newfoundland Growlers last season as a rookie.
The 22-year-old Berezowski was also scoreless in one game with the Toronto Marlies, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ American Hockey League affiliate.
Berezowski holds the career goal-scoring record for the Western Hockey League’s Everett Silvertips, with 130 in 273 games over five seasons.
The 5-foot-9-inch, 185-pound Berezowski is the fifth forward the Firebirds, the Seattle Kraken’s American Hockey League affiliate, have signed or re-signed in August, following Ian McKinnon, Cam Morrison, Damien Giroux and Max Andreev,
