The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County dipped Thursday to its lowest amount since Jan. 26, dropping two-tenths of a cent to $4.362, its third consecutive decrease.
The average price has dropped 1.9 cents over the past three days, including three-tenths of a cent Wednesday, after back-to-back increases totaling four-tenths of a cent, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 2.6 cents less than one week ago, 6.6 cents lower than one month ago and 71.3 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.011 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped one-tenth of cent to $3.106 after back-to-back increases totaling six-tenths of a cent. It is 2.5 cents less than one week ago, 6.8 cents lower than one month ago and 30.2 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.91 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
