LA Metro is looking for local visual artists to create two-dimensional artworks for upcoming transit stations in the East San Fernando Valley, officials said Wednesday.

The opportunity covers two projects: 11 new light rail stations on the East San Fernando Valley Transit Project, plus one new aerial station replacing Van Nuys Station as part of the G Line Improvements Project.

Contracts will pay between $110,000 and $120,000 per artwork, and the opportunity is open to all LA County-based visual artists.

The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22.

More information about the application process is available at art.metro.net/art-opportunities/main/.
