The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped four-tenths of a cent Saturday to $3.493, the sixth decrease in the last seven days.
The average price has dropped 2.3 cents over the past seven days, including three-tenths of a cent Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It is 2.3 cents less than one week ago and 5.9 cents lower than one month ago, but 32.2 cents higher than one year ago.
“On Wednesday, the Energy Information Administration reported that West Coast gasoline inventories are at their highest level in more than a year, and that may bring more price drops provided there are no major refinery incidents in coming weeks,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
