Local dog owners are invited to share their thoughts on a proposed dog park at a community meeting Monday at the Palm Springs Pavilion.

The dog park at Demuth Park is proposed to be built at the site of a makeshift play area that strung up while the nearby dog park behind City Hall was temporarily closed for maintenance last year.

The popularity of the makeshift park grew into an effort to make the area permanent.

Conceptual designs for the future Demuth Dog Park — one large and another about half the size — will be shared at the meeting, where input will be collected as city staff proceed toward finalizing their plans.

The Palm Springs Pavilion is located at 401 S. Pavilion Way.
