One person was killed Thursday evening in a crash between a motorcycle and a big rig near the Temecula Parkway in Temecula.
The crash occurred near Anza Road on the Temecula Parkway about 6:30 p.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident left the rider laying in the road, the CHP said. It appears the rider died at the scene. The person’s gender and age were not immediately available from authorities. The person’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The CHP issued a SigAlert and closed lanes near the crash site for two-and-a-half hours.
All lanes were reopened at 10:07 p.m. and the CHP canceled the SigAlert.
