Two SUVs collided head-on Tuesday morning on southbound Highway 62 northwest of Desert Hot Springs, bringing traffic to a standstill, but nobody was seriously hurt.
The wreck was reported at 7:29 a.m., about three miles south of Morongo Valley, resulting in minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Toyota FJ Cruiser and Cadillac XT5 were involved, and both had to be towed from the scene.
Traffic was backed up to Palo Verde Road in Morongo Valley, about four miles, more than 90 minutes after the crash, though all lanes were open.
