An unspecified amount of customers temporarily lost power Thursday in Coachella and the unincorporated communities of Mecca, Thermal and North Shore, according to the Imperial Irrigation District.
The utility reported the outages on social media at about 10:20 a.m. Power was reported to be fully restored at about 2 p.m.
No cause for the outages was given.
The outages followed another loss of power reported in IID territory Thursday morning in La Quinta, which affected 16 customers in the Cove neighborhood before power was restored about an hour later.
Additional outages were reported Thursday in IID’s Imperial County service area.
