Thanksgiving travelers hoping to return home to Los Angeles or to other cities through Chicago are seeing their flights cancelled Monday morning due to high winds and blizzard conditions in the Windy City, according to flight data.

Ten flights from Chicago to LAX were cancelled, according to the flylax.com list of arrivals and departures. Affected airlines include United, Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand and SAS. All had 9:05 a.m. arrivals cancelled. American, Japan and Malaysia flights due to arrive from Chicago at 10:15 a.m. were also cancelled.

A Winter Storm Warning remained in effect for the Chicago area until 9 a.m. CST (7 a.m. PST), which may be keeping the window open to departures from LAX of aircraft set to arrive in Cicago after that time.

Three flights to Chicago, including a United flight, were scheduled to depart at 6:40 a.m. on time, another at 6:55 a.m., and six flights will be departing for Chicago at 8:40 a.m., including United, Air Canada, Aer Lingus and Austrian Airlines.
