A vehicle fire spread into the garage of a Perris home Thursday before crews were able to extinguish the flames, displacing four people.
Crews were dispatched to the 2000 block of Willbrook Lane about 4:30 a.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department. They were able to extinguish the flames in 50 minutes, but not before the fire had spread to another vehicle and caused minor smoke damage to the two-story home.
No injuries were reported, but American Red Cross personnel were called to help four adult occupants arrange for temporary alternative living arrangements.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
