Authorities Wednesday sought the public’s help to locate a 41-year-old man with depression who was last seen in Lancaster.

Mathew Alexander Mauro was last seen about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 42900 block of Cherbourg Lane, near Prime Desert Woodland Preserve, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Mauro is white, 5-feet-10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds, with blue eyes, short black hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and black shorts, and has a tattoo of the name “Natalia” on his neck.

The LASD noted Mauro may have heading to the area of 60th Street West and Godde Hill Road in Palmdale when he was last seen.

Anyone with information on Mauro’s whereabouts was asked to contact the LASD Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
