A veteran U.S. Postal Service employee promoted to postmaster of all USPS facilities in the city of Riverside said Thursday his objective is “outstanding customer service.”
“My specific goals include streamlining postal operations, improving delivery efficiency … and fostering a positive relationship within the community,” Frank Lemos Jr. of Rialto said.
Lemos was recently selected to fill the slot left vacant by longtime Riverside Postmaster Tanya Toedt Fitzharris, who was recently tapped to serve as postmaster for the city of San Diego.
The Riverside USPS network encompasses four full-time service outlets and 215 delivery routes citywide, staffed by 421 employees, according to the Postal Service.
“I’m excited and proud to have been selected for this position,” Lemos said. “I hope to further the Postal Service’s legacy of outstanding customer service and to contribute to the overall success of the organization.”
The father of five has been with the Postal Service for 26 years, starting out as a carrier in Riverside.
“As outlined in USPS’s `Delivering for America Plan,’ we are modernizing and continually adapting to the changing needs of our customers,” Lemos said. “Our customers are priority one, whether they’re located in a rural community or a bustling, growing city like Riverside.”
