A fire that broke out Thursday at a single-family home in Indian Wells was knocked down, but a firefighter was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The blaze was reported about 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 45000 block of Santa Fe Cove Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency stated the fire was contained shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday, and crews will remain on scene for an additional two to three hours.
A firefighter sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital. It was unclear how he was hurt.
No additional injuries was reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
