A Silver Alert issued for an at-risk 71-year-old woman last seen in an unincorporated area near South Gate was deactivated after she was found, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday.
Angelita Murillo was last seen at 2 p.m. Thursday near Bell Avenue and East 81st Street in Florence-Firestone, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the LASD.
Murillo was found at 10:45 p.m. Friday, according to the LASD. There were no further details.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate searches for missing elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
