Firefighters were making good progress with containing a brush fire in Azusa that burned approximately 10 acres of vegetation Monday evening, with no reported injuries or damage to any structure.
The fire was reported at approximately 7 p.m. Monday near Highway 39 and Mountain Laurel Way, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Fire officials said that Highway 39 was closed at Sierra Madre while crews battled the brush fire.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
