A motorcyclist was hospitalized Sunday after crashing in the Agoura Hills area, near the Ventura County line.
The crash occurred Sunday near Kanan and Silver Creek roads, south of the Ventura (101) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The tortuous mountain pass that becomes Kanan-Dume Road as it descends south to Pacific Coast Highway is popular among two-wheeler enthusiasts.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity, the CHP stated.
Radio Malibu reported that Search and Rescue crews retrieved the person from the bottom of a hill, and that witnesses told authorities the motorcycle flew off the road and down an embankment.
The circumstances surrounding the solo vehicle crash were under investigation.
