Barbra Streisand came on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to metaphorically reprise the old joke: “Where does an 800-pound gorilla sit?”
Wherever he wants.
So it was with the 75-year-old entertainment legend, who had never been an in-studio guest of DeGeneres.
“For her first-ever appearance [she made] make some diva-level demands: specifically to show only her ‘good side’ to the camera,” said Yahoo News.
So DeGeneres was seated in the left chair Tuesday, Streisand in the usual host chair on the right.
“Now, you’re sitting there because you prefer that side,” DeGeneres said. “And here’s the thing: I prefer that side too.”
Streisand would say: “I have two different sides to my face” and noted that in her new Netflix special, “Barbra: The Music … the Mem’ries … the Magic!” cameras were required to mostly show off her bad side.
“Whatever we got, we got,” the singer said. “The camera’s in the wrong place half the time, and it was just to be free and feel the response from the audience and play with them. And it is [mostly] on my wrong side.”
Some viewers took sides:

Barbra Streisand made Ellen swap seats because she only wants to be filmed from a certain angle. Iconic. pic.twitter.com/U5QfdFZfNH
