The price of a Dodger Dog will be lowered to $1 from the usual price of $6.75 for Monday evening’s Los Angeles Dodgers-San Francisco Giants game at Dodger Stadium.

Fans will be limited to purchasing five Dodger Dogs per transaction.

U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Luis Alvarez will be honored as the Military Hero of the Game.

Alvarez joined the Navy in 2000, and has deployed nine times, including to Afghanistan and Iraq, in support of efforts against the Islamic State group and on behalf of Operation Martillo, a multi-national anti-drug operation in Central and South America.

Alvarez has received multiple awards, including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.

Zach Veach will throw the ceremonial first pitch, 13 days before he races in the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Veach is the author of “99 Things Teens Wish They Knew Before Turning 16,” published in 2011 when he was 16 and driving on the U.S. F2000 National Championship circuit.

The Dodgers will conduct Law Enforcement Appreciation Night at Tuesday’s game against the Giants. A ticket package including a promotional mug is available at dodgers.com/lawenforcement.
