A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a semitruck Monday in Oasis that sparked a small fire.
Firefighters responded at 4:30 p.m. to a report of a collision with a fire near Highway 86 and 76th Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire, which was under the truck and a small spot of vegetation, was extinguished by 5:04 p.m., a department official said.
The seriously injured person was taken to a hospital by helicopter, the official said.
The cause of the collision was unknown.
