Riverside County Fire Department firefighters were battling a nearly 350-acre brush fire in San Jacinto Sunday.
The fire was reported around 2:20 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Soboba and Gilman Springs roads.
At the time of the initial report, the upslope-burning fire was estimated at five acres, but grew to 100 acres by 3 p.m., and to 349 acres just before 5 p.m., according to the fire department. There was 0% containment.
Multiple air and ground resources were on scene.
No evacuations, injuries or road closures were reported. No structures were threatened.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
