The Herbalife Family Foundation announced Wednesday it has awarded $192,000 in grants to four Los Angeles-area organizations to support programs serving children in need.
“These grants represent more than just financial support — they embody our commitment to empowering communities and improving lives,” Rob Levy, Herbalife Family Foundation board member and International Managing Director at Herbalife, said in a statement. “We are deeply inspired by the dedication of our nonprofit partners and the generosity of Herbalife’s independent distributors and employees, whose passion fuels this vital work.”
The grants were awarded through the foundation’s Casa Herbalife Program, which works with local organizations to “deliver nutritious meals, educational resources and safe spaces for children worldwide.”
The local grants announced Wednesday were:
— $75,000 to A Place Called Home to support after-school nutrition, education and sports programs for youth;
— $50,000 to Children’s Institute for early education, youth services, counseling, parenting programs and workforce development;
— $30,000 to Heart of Los Angeles for after-school nutrition education and health cooking programs to combat childhood obesity; and
— $37,000 to Volunteer Center to expand volunteer engagement with programs that promote healthy lifestyles for youth.
