Eleven Los Angeles-area restaurants were added Wednesday to the Michelin Guide California selection ahead of next month’s 2026 guide ceremony, including longtime taqueria Sonoratown and several high-end tasting menu destinations.

Michelin officials announced the additions Wednesday as part of a statewide update recognizing 21 California restaurants that inspectors said stood out for quality, technique and consistency.

Restaurants added to the selection could later receive distinctions including Michelin stars or Bib Gourmand recognition for value-oriented dining.

The Los Angeles-area additions range from omakase sushi counters and tasting-menu restaurants to neighborhood taquerias, Korean American cuisine and wood-fired South American cooking.

Among the restaurants recognized were Sonoratown, known for its flour tortillas and burritos; Miura in Beverly Hills, featuring an 18-course sushi omakase; and Electric Bleu in Mar Vista, a California-inspired French bistro with an affordable tasting menu.

Michelin inspectors also highlighted Kojima in Sawtelle, an eight-seat omakase restaurant; Lynx in the Arts District, a modern pizza concept from chef Joshua Skenes; and SORA Craft Kitchen in downtown Los Angeles, where chef Okay Inak prepares Turkish and Anatolian dishes as a one-man operation.

“Michelin Guide inspectors spend the entire year on the road seeking out the best restaurants to recommend — and what they’ve found is too good to keep a secret,” the guide said in announcing the additions.

The Los Angeles-area restaurants added to the Michelin Guide selection are:

— Miura in Beverly Hills;

— ALTO in Studio City;

— Casa Leo in Los Feliz;

— Electric Bleu in Mar Vista;

— Kojima in Sawtelle;

— Lielle in Pico-Robertson;

— Lynx in the Arts District;

— The Mulberry in Sawtelle;

— Sonoratown, with locations in downtown Los Angeles, Mid-City and Long Beach;

— SORA Craft Kitchen in downtown Los Angeles; and

— Good Alley in Rosemead.

The full California Michelin Guide will be unveiled June 24 in San Diego.
