The Hollenbeck Youth Center will host its 45th Annual Salute to the Dodgers Thursday at Dodger Stadium, celebrating the organization’s decades-long partnership with the team and honoring community leaders and advocates.

The luncheon and awards program will get underway at noon Thursday at the Stadium Club.

According to organizers, Dr. Monte E. Perez will receive the Amigo de los Niños Award, while world champion boxing trainer Freddie Roach will receive the Director’s Award for his commitment to youth.

Actor Gabriel Luna is expected to present the award to Roach, while NBC4 anchor Michelle Valles will serve as master of ceremonies.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, national health advocate Zacky Muñoz and Hollenbeck Youth Center founder Danny Hernandez are also expected to participate.

Organizers said the annual event celebrates more than four decades of collaboration between the Dodgers and the Hollenbeck Youth Center, which provides educational, cultural and recreational programs for youth in Boyle Heights and surrounding communities.
